    appRequester - - state variable for the connection
    
    outlen - output parameter with type length
    
    Returns:
    
    Corresponding DB2 SQL Type (See DRDA Manual FD:OCA Meta Data Summary, page 245)
    
    Throws:
    
    java.sql.SQLException - thrown for unrecognized SQLType
