Display objects are responsible for generating the visual representation of data that leave OVITO's modification pipeline. The following table lists the types of display objects.

| Bonds | Displays the bonds between particles. |
| Particles | Displays a set of particles. |
| Simulation cell | Displays the simulation box. |
| Surface mesh | Displays a closed polygonal mesh. |
| Vectors | Displays vectors associated with particles, e.g. displacement vectors. |
